Final Schedule, "the weekend" and sickness!

Wednesday, December 14
Chemistry – 8:00-10:00
A & P – 1:00-3:00
Writing – 3:30-5:30
Photoshop – 6:30-9:30

Friday, December 16
Modern Art – 8:00-10:00

Something seems odd about this…  oh well.  The only problem is having Chem and A&P on the same day – that will SUCK.  A lot.  Writing and photoshop should be really light, modern art will actually be somewhat hard, but I have plenty of time to cram for it.

Lets see, will I ever finish my thing on my awesome weekend?  Probably not.  Oh well.

Oh yeah, I have the flu.  And it SUCKS.  I am so tired, and all of my muscles are sore.  I slept through 2 classes today.  Hopefully I’ll be better.

The Weekend - #1

Somehow I know that if I don’t start this now, I probably won’t for a long, long time.

Basically, my mom invited me to go down to APU to visit Jenica and Jon during parents weekend.  After classes on Friday, I got a last minute ride to the airport, only to find that my flight was delayed for more than an hour.  Not good – considering that I was flying to SeaTac to join my mom on a connecting flight to Ontario.  It was so frustrating at Spokane International (or whatever its called…) – when we finally boarded the plane, we had to sit on it for another 20-30 minutes while they cooled down the left brakes.  Probably a wise thing to do, but annoying.

Luckily, the connecting flight was also delayed (go Alaska Airlines!) – so I was able to catch up with Mom in the boarding line.  She had beef tacos from Q’doba for me.  Thank you mom.  Thank you SO MUCH.  (All I had had previously that day was a bagel w/cream cheese)

Lets see, we landed, only to find that they had torn my moms suitcase (about a 7” tear I’d say).  So we had to deal with that, and then get the rental car.  Off to APU – where we met Jen and Jon in the parking lot.  It was so good to see both of them, and many hugs were shared.

So of course, I happened to remember that there’s this awesome doughnut joint somewhere close by that bakes their goods at 12:00am.  Mmmmmmm goodness.  Unfortunately, my mom wanted to hit the hay, but somehow my sister had planned in advance and had KRISPY CREAMS.  I had 2.  Oh blessed sugar high.

We retired to our hotel – which, although it was close by, took a little while because they lock the entry doors, and the person at the front desk was sleeping.  Oh well – our room was nice, and the continental breakfast was awesome.  I had a ham, bacon and cheese omelet.  Which had my sodium content for the next 3 weeks.  Oh well, it was good.

We booked to APU to meet up with Jon and Jen.  Lets see…  what next?  You’ll find out in the next exciting episode of “Josh finally blogs.”

Right now its time to sleep.  And tomorrow, I must study for many tests and work on many projects and write many papers.  Oh what bliss, to ponder the possibilities…

RAH!

RAH!  Ok, I will tell you about my weekend, I’ll even do it this week – maybe later today.  But I’m in class right now, and this is surely going to be my most hectic week of this semester.  But more on that later, now, I need to do an in class write =)

So very many things to say…

It has been a long, long time since I have last posted.  What can I say?  I’ve been busy.  I have had a good number of projects this year, and, well…  school!  I know I had school last year too, but this year, I’m actually applying myself.  I still could do a bit better, but in comparison, I’m rocking the boat.  I have an A in chemistry (which I abhorred in high school and never thought I would be taking it again), an A in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (a fun class indeed), a B in Anatomy and Physiology (I will hopefully get a B+ this semester and an A second), a Pass in History of Modern Art, and an A in my writing class.  I guess that’s a 3.71 right now, and it should be marginally higher (if I get that B+).

I guess I (and you, my faithful readers) should all be thanking my wonderful Aunt Tina for this post.  For it is only because of her that I do post this =)

There have been many, many post-worthy things this year, and it is a shame I have not written about them.  Oh well, life goes on.  What’s new you ask?

My intramural soccer team lost its first 6 games.  Ouch…  We have since won 4 of the last 6.  So our record is 4-8.  Not too good – but hey, we’re having fun, and improving every single game.  My volleyball team on the other hand is undefeated.  We play in the Power League (the harder one – my soccer team does too), and work extremely well together.  I thought I was going to be on the bottom of the team, and the first 2 games I was, but I picked it up quickly and am now part of the “core” as it were.  Just need to work on some serves…

Post-worthy thingies – I got SWEET, SWEET packages from Grammie & Granddad, Aunt Tina and Uncle Steve, and my parents.  I got 2 of them at the same time, and it was truly amazing.  I never thought I would see such scrumptious snacks all in the same place – AND be able to call them my own.  What joy, oh such sweet BLISS.

Jennifer and I have been dating for 11.5 months now – our 1 year is coming up!  HOORAY!!!  God has truly blessed me by putting her in my life – I am so much better for being with her.

Oh goodness, there are so many more (I was brainstorming earlier today), but since its 2:30 I seem to be forgetting.  Bleh.

Well, thanksgiving will be awesome, as will Christmas….  OH!  Today felt a bit like Christmas.  So Jenn and I went to Costco, so I could return my 2nd computer from there.  Yay for big checks!  I had a polish and a coke, and then we went to the mall to look for shoes I could wear while playing indoor soccer.  After looking at some pumas and deciding to browse online, we went to this store called Aeropostale – where Jenn bought me these AWESOME FLEECE pants.  They are SO comfortable.  Its like wearing…  comfort.  Yup.  And – while I was trying them on, Christmas music was playing in the background.

Let’s see, I almost forgot about work today – luckily Jenn reminded me.  After getting the sweats (no, no, no, actually before going shoe-shopping) we stopped at Q’doba and Jenn got nachos (they have the best cheese sauce in the world) and she made me eat half.  So when we get back from our food/shopping excursion, we went to work.  I work as an intramural soccer referee – which is pretty much AWESOME.  So the first game (9:00pm) – and the first team only has 4 players.  They know they are going to lose, but want to play regardless.  They forfeit – allowing me to play with them in a scrimmage game.  We tied – and it was a ton of fun.  And I got paid for it!  (And we would have won, but I would have felt kind of bad about beating the other team…  I’m not entirely sure why…  meh).

Right.  Well – I guess the most obvious thing to talk about is this last weekend.  Ugh – it could be pages, but I’m sooooo tired.  URG.

How about this – if someone e-mails me regarding this post – I’ll write about my awesome weekend.  If not, too bad for all of you.  If there are any readers.

God Bless and Goodnight!
