Today

I got up around 1-1:30pm. After about 13 hours of sleep. HECK YES.

Then I checked e-mail, advertised my laptop online, and took a shower.

Then Jenn, Nathan, Nilt and I went to Salvation Army and White Elephant gifts or something...

Jenn bought a game called Phase 10 at White Elephant - we played it later with Smithers and Zumini. I had a strongish lead, but Jenn won in the end, smithers coming in a close third and zumini, with a great recovery was only 1 phase behind in the end.

During this game I "discovered" something (I actually already knew it, it was just fun to re-realize it...) - I am far too competitive. Pity. Thats ok though, because I usually win. :D

Hmmmmmm...

ho hum...

MWF

9:20-10:30 - CORE 150
12:00-1:00 - Intoduction to Philosophy
1:00-2:00 - Intermediate Volleyball

TTH

9:30-10:50 - Introduction to Psychology
1:00-2:30 - American Popular Culture
*5:00-6:00 - CORE 150 Discussion Group (TH only)

So - here we have my class schedule. CORE is supposedly a hard class; thus far it has not bothered me (partially because I have slept through over 1/2 of the classes - thanks mono). Philosophy has potential to be interesting. If only we had a real professor. Gary Whisenand just doesn't make the cut - this class is beyond boring. Volleyball = awesome. I am so excited to play - speaking of which intramurals start up next week. Fall semester my team won challenge league, we're taking the better 1/2 of the team and going up to power league! w00t!!!

Intro. to Psych is a pretty good class - we have 2 profs, Andrea Donahoe (my advisor) and Dr. Tao - he's really funny and very, very bright =) The class is fairly interesting... American Popular Culture, hmmmm... There's a story here. I don't know how much to share (depending on who reads this lol). I'll just say that the classes I've been to are very interesting, but they have been few. Thanks again mono (riiiiiiiight....). As for discussion group, I have Karen Heller - she is this amazing old lady who is fluent in about two hundred THOUSAND languages. And, strange as I find it, I would say she is "cute." Anyways... The class is fun, there are only 2-3 intelligent people in my discussion group, so it can be interesting at times. Maybe if I get bored I'll just mess with someones mind... It seems likely.

Other than classes, I'm doing fairly well. The symptoms of mono are fading quickly, sports are starting up, and I have my cursed laptop back. Ugh... Don't buy an Alienware laptop. In fact, don't buy Alienware at all. Custom build a desktop - if you don't know how to ask me or Weasel (he knows all things). Alienware = big phat waste of money. PERIOD.

To elaborate a little on "sports are starting up" - I will be playing on 2 intramural teams, soccer and volleyball - both power league. Also, I am in Intermediate Volleyball class, and spring training for soccer will be starting up in about a month. Hopefully I will survive all 4. OH - volleyball class ends right at spring break - so that will not overlap with spring training.

Ummm... Looking at a possible transfer to APU - they have a program there that really fits me - Web Technology and Information. I believe I could use this very efficiently between undergrad and grad school to earn money. More on this later - class is over :D

So tired...

There is so much to share right now. But I am sooooooooooo drained. Maybe in a month or so when I have energy or something... DEATH TO MONO.

re: my last post

I am accepting donations in any form (ie: cash, check, paypal) for the purchase of LCDs. At this point, I really want 2 20" screens, so I can get the 1600x1200 resolution. It would also be sweet to have a 12ms pixal response time. This shall be costly, but there is a reason for it. With dual monitors, programming is MUCH easier. I'm looking at learning HTML (refresh course), followed by PHP, a refresh course at MySQL and so on, so that I can make sweet webpages. We'll see how it all turns out, but my roommate makes BANK on webpages. $2,500 per to be precise. So this should be a worthwhile investment. Both for myself, AND for you! If you donate - I'll put your name on my company's webpage when I get it up sometime next year. w00t!!! You could be famous! anyways...

OMGoodness - Its been a while. And with good reason(s)

For instance, I have been sick for about 3 weeks. Check my post from January 19th - the one about my neck swelling up insanely. Yes, there is a reason for this. I have mono. So thats awesome. I really like sleeping...

I also had tonsilitis - it was disgusting. They were sticking out sooooo far, and had white bumps all over them. Swallowing hurt a ton for about 4-5 days, and total my throat hurt for about 10-12 days. Thankfully the nurses at the health center here gave me a Z-Pac (uber antibiotics) and steroids to boost my system or something. They make me feel soooooo good. Unfortunately, I'm almost out of them - I have to find out if I can get more. I don't know if I can make it in school without them =/

In other news, I still don't have my laptop, but I have come into possesion of another computer. This one is a desktop - for those of you who care I'll share the basic specs:

2.8 Ghz P4
Albatron Pro II Mobo
ATI RADEON 9800 Pro 256mb vid card
CD-RW drive
17 CRT monitor (I need LCDs)
120 gigs 7200 RPM harddrive

Theres more but I'm too tired to care right now. Well, time to retire to almost bed. My stomach is giving me a bit of pain atm, so sleep won't come yet. Night.
